NBC Live iPad

Created the Innovative iPad App for NBC.com

BACKGROUND 

When Hollywood discovered the potential revenue for mobile viewing. (Streaming) which correlates to the surge in smartphone sales.

SCOPE

Created the first App for NBC.com users to watch their favorite shows. The app would allow users to post comments in real time. Interact with content - Polling with results, trivia with answers and fun facts. Plus, create new advertising opportunities.

There were a lot requirements and functionality to add on a small screen. So I focused on organizing and simplifying the information and content. I also incorporated the current TV brand on the designs and delivered on time!

NRMA Insurance UX

Created the UX wireframes for the claims, RBI (Retail Business Insurance) website and updated the mobile App.

SCOPE

Create a responsive website with the ability to lodge a claim on a mobile device with a quick, easy and straight forward process. Offer web-chat support. Launch the EMERGENCY ONLINE (EOL) for Home Claims and the weather alerts. Update the Self service center and the NRMA App.

CONTRIBUTION

My role: UX Specialist
Create the wireframes for the NRMA Insurance claims site. I was able to design a fast, easy and straight forward process to help customers prepare - before, during and after a major event. The Weather Alerts were a huge success and 97% of costumers found the alerts useful and 79% acted on the severe warning alerts avoiding potential damage.

The Australian Financial Review Site Redesign

Redesigned a new brand, responsive desktop, mobile and tablet experience for The Financial Review.

BACKGROUND 

The Australian Financial Review (AFR) is Australia’s leading source of business, political, finance and lifestyle content for more than 50 years. In the research, Mobile (smartphone and tablet) was representing the most significant shift in how business news and financial information was being consumed.

SCOPE

Created a fully responsive website to meet the mobile and access demands of our customers while increasing Ad revenue, subscribers, traffic, engagement, and market share. The old website structure was out of date, the last refresh was 4 years old. SEO was weak and engagement very low.

My role:
Senior Digital Designer
I was a key player in the Financial Review Agile Environment using the scrum process. By focusing on the User Centered Design principles ( IA, Visual design, functionality, Usability, Typography, UI, content strategy and Interaction design) I was able to achieve greater clarity and legibility with a fresh, modern design and typography for the desktop, mobile and tablet experience. Created the Events App for the Financial Review Group, a large complex customer log-in migration as well as the AFR video player website

AWARDS

The Australian Financial Review won “News website of the year” at the Pacific Area Newspaper Publishers Association awards and the AFR Weekend won PANPA newspaper of the year.

SCOPE

Design a responsive mobile desktop experience for a new agency that’s leading on innovation trends. Created the social media graphics and print concepts.

My role: UX/UI Designer
Design a website that visually incorporated the rhythm elements of nature, repeated pattern of movement with vector graphics and design elements. The biggest challenge was to make sure all the vector graphics aligned and worked on all 3 breakpoints.

Created the brand, responsive site and a Robo Advice AI journey. I was able to translate the clients idea and bring it to life. The App Journey screens were user friendly, simple and beautiful elegant designs.

My role: UX / UI Mobile Designer & Art Director
Designed a clean, modern and minimalistic look & feel for the App and website. I also created the social media graphics for ads, fun yoga quotes for instagram and Facebook. Designed the print magazine layout.
